Both Chetia and Ulfa “foreign secretary” Sasadhar Choudhury arrived in Delhi on Monday and are likely to meet the Centre’s interlocutor, AK Mishra, on Tuesday. The two are also likely to meet home minister

A couple of weeks ago, Assam CM
Himanta Biswa Sarma
had said the peace pact is likely to be signed this year-end or by January. He said the final touches are being given to the proposed pact, which will incorporate political, economic and cultural safeguards as well as land rights demands made by the group.
