Joe Alwyn, best known for his love story with pop superstar Taylor Swift, posted a rare series of snaps to his Instagram feed on Monday, just ahead of his 33rd birthday. The British actor, who last posted in September 2023, shared pictures such as a mirror selfie in the woods, snaps with friends, and a childhood photo. The post comes without a caption or an opportunity for comments, only to be highly anticipated for Swift’s next album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

Swift announced the album, due out in April, during the Grammys on Sunday, suggesting it could also cover her romance with Alwyn, which ended in the spring of 2023 after six years. Fans are speculating about the title of the album, with a reference to the group chat Alwyn shares with his pals Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott. It was a rush among the Swifties to speculate on the album, throwing light on her past love life.

This transpired when, in a 2022 interview, Alwyn and Mescal disclosed that they were part of a boys-only group chat labeled “The Tortured Man Club,” an idea set in motion by Scott. The source says that the breakup was an amicable one and that, apart from dating Swift, there is no record of Alwyn being attached to anyone publicly. Swift has been linked to NFL player Travis Kelce since news of the couple dating first surfaced in September 2023.

With the album title “The Tortured Poets Department,” it’s just hinting at maybe some theme surrounding love and broken hearts, which is very reminiscent of what Taylor Swift is known for. Fans are holding their breath for the drop, hoping for a peek into the star’s private life and perspective on her previous romance with Alwyn.
